 FIGURE-8 SMALL CAR/BIG CAR BUILDING GUIDELINES

1. Any small car limited to 106 in. wheel base, 4 or 6-cylinder allowed.
2. Any big car with 107 in. wheel base or larger, 6 or 8-cylinder allowed.
3. Cars must be stripped of all chrome, interior, & glass.
4. Helmets, eye protection, & seatbelts must be worn at all times.  
5. You may weld doors solid or wire them (frames can be welded on).
6. You may have a 4-point cage, 4 in. diameter.
7. Hoods must be wired or bolted in 4 places, 3/4 in. bolts max size, sheet metal-to-sheet metal.
8. A hole must be cut over the carburetor area to help fire officials.
9. Trunk lids may be welded solid, wired or bolted.
10. Gas tanks must be located in a safe area, be leak-proof, & securely fastened & covered.
11. Electric fuel pumps must have a shut-off switch within reach.
12. Battery should be located in a safe place & securely fastened with a cover on the passenger side of the car.

13. No steel-studded tires or wheel weights allowed.  Double tires are ok
14. Bumpers & brackets may be fully welded on so that no loose bumpers are on the track.  Bumper shocks can be collapsed & welded.
15. No homemade bumpers.
16. All cars must have white doors with large, bright numbers.
17. All cars can have full roll cages, but must be under sheet metal.


RULES & REGULATIONS
1. 10 mph in pits.
2. Helmet & safety glasses must be worn at all times.
3. Heats will last for 10 min. & driver with most laps wins the heat & advances to the Feature.
4. The number of cars taken to the Feature is determined by the number of entries that day.
5. All cars will start in single or double file & will drag race to the 1st tire.
6. You must make complete figure-8 laps from start to finish.
7. If you cut a lap short, you will be disqualified & your laps will not count.
8. The last 30 sec. of the race the white flag will be waved.  At the end of the 30 sec., the checkered and red flags will be waved signaling the end of the race.
9. Grounds For Disqualification: 
a.  excessive hitting of other cars with the front bumper.
b.  excessive car smoke causing poor visibility on track.
c.  sharp objects hanging off car.
d.  lose a wheel off car; flat tires are ok.
e.  car fire.
f.  driving in wrong direction or backwards.
g.  arguing with judges or officials.
h.  not stopping car during a “red flag.”
10. Red flag means to stop as soon as possible.
11. All drivers who don’t make the Feature may run again in a consolation heat, if time permits.
12. Back To Back Figure-8 Races are not demolition derbies.
13. Back To Back Promotions has the right to reject any or all entries.

FIGURE 8 DRIVER INFORMATION

  1. No pre-registration needed.  Sign up the day of the race.
  2. Each driver must register and sign a release.
  3. A $35.00 entry fee covers driver & car entry fee.  Pit passes are $5.00 each.
  4. All drivers mut show proof of age.  All drivers under 18 must also bring a notarized release form signed by parent or guardian which can be obtained by calling Don Long @ 513-947-1028.
  5. Entry fees will not be refunded after 1 hour prior to show time.
  6. Drivers not obeying the rules or boundaries will be disqualified.
  7. No drinking of alcoholic beverages on the track or in the pit area.
  8. All cars must be removed from the fair grounds within 12 hours.
  9. No more than 2 dirvers can register the same car.  You must let us know so that we can separate your heats.
  10. The promoter reserves the right to approve or reject any entry.
  11. There are risks and dangers associated with figure-8 races which could tesult in bodily injury, disability, and even death.  You must accept these risks and not hold Don Long or Back to Back Promotions responsibile.
